The Phone Tree Project

WHAT IS THE PHONE TREE PROJECT?

Our taxes paid for the science, but women are still getting men’s care.

Here’s what nobody tells you: it takes about 17 years, on average, for new medical research to make it into everyday practice. That means the science in your exam room may be a generation old. And when old science doesn’t fit your body, guess who gets called the problem? Your nerves. Your age. Your weight.

Seventeen years is too long to wait. So we don’t.

Remember the phone tree? Somebody heard something important, called ten people, and each of them called ten more. Nobody waited for the evening news. We’re doing it again, with the new science.

The Phone Tree Project is a nonprofit that gets updated, sometimes life-saving information from person to person, and helps neighbors help each other in their own communities. The Broadside News is our front door: the facts, sourced and in plain English, free to read.

You can hush a post. You can’t hush people.
The internet shouldn’t decide what’s important to you.
