The Fact
Truth is given spiritual or moral force across traditions that otherwise disagree. John 8:32 links knowing truth with freedom; the Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.6 says truth triumphs and opens the divine path; the Guru Granth Sahib tradition elevates truthful living; and the Qur’an commands believers to give just testimony even against themselves or close relatives.
What This Means
“The truth matters” is not a uniquely Christian or Western idea. Different faiths connect truth with freedom, spiritual progress, justice, or right living using different theological explanations.
