The Fact

Comparing primary teachings shows a recurring pattern: traditions can disagree profoundly about metaphysics while converging on practical rules such as reciprocity, care for people in need, truthfulness, justice, humility, restraint of greed, and breaking cycles of retaliation.

What This Means

“Religions are different” and “religions share substantial moral ground” can both be true at the same time. Treating theological difference as proof of opposite everyday ethics is a category error.
