The Fact

AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving reported that many family caregivers perform complex medical or nursing tasks, but only 22% received training for those tasks in 2025.

What This Means

Some medical work has effectively moved into the home without equivalent training support. The household is not only supplying time; in many cases it is supplying skilled care under limited preparation.
