The Fact

BLS reported that only 37.4% of long-tenured displaced workers who lost jobs during 2023–2025 received written advance notice of the displacement. Most did not receive written advance notice.

What This Means

Even after at least three years in a job, losing it can arrive without a written warning period that gives the worker time to line up replacement employment.
